Here we see Aries undergoing her initial Mercenary's Guild training.
The first panel, she's in a white jumpsuit for the paintball wargames.
Second, her pain tolerance is being tested. The Skyborn wasn't going to go easy on her and she had to stand there, much as she wanted to take the paddle away from him and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
Third, she's speaking to a psychiatrist named Miriam who is under the employ of the guild. She'll be a recurring character! Aries is busy telling her about her tough childhood, but she curiously omits everything from age eight and down.
On fourth, we see Seamus MacGallow hollering obsceni-err, encouragements to Aries as she does some weights.
IN the sixth, she's driving the Mercenary's Guild light APC.
And in the sixth... kneeling before the master for initiation!

It's to make paintball hits obvious and to make the trainee easier to spot. The idea being that she can't always count on stealth, but if she can manage to make herself unseen even while wearing pitch white, then she's damn well good enough for the guild. She only took a grazing shot to the shoulder, as you can see.
Yup! She worked hard for it. The training phase is also an evaluation. It's a rougher version of boot camp because not only is one expected to be a competent soldier, but also a skilled investigator, a spy, a leader and a pilot.
Fortunately for Aries, she has a leg up from her childhood years...
And that phase of her life will become all the clearer not too far from now.
