I go through rubber bands for my hair at least one a week. Maybe if I didn't have to stretch them so much when putting my hair up. I've had them break on me even when I'm not pulling on them. I'll just be wandering through my day, blundering about as usual and then POW! The rubber band snaps and goes careening around the room.

And before you ask, YES, this is based on a real life occurrence. No one was injured in the incident but I thought it would be funnier if a cartoon had it rammed up his nose.

I actually think this joke would work better animated but I don't have the skill or the time to do such efforts. (And talent, I don't have that kind of talent.)
