Dow Wetlands at Antioch Marina
On the west side of the Marina by the park with the exercise equipment is the Dow wetlands preserve. Generally you have to get permission to go on that area. But they have a bird viewing platform at the end of this parks' path used in later photographs.

It's for the birds, literally! I thought most of it was paid for by the Dow Chemical company rather than tax dollars but I'm not sure.
With permission we can use the trail sort of road that runs along it. It's so we don't disturb the nesting birds and stuff if we were to be allowed to roam freely.
But a lot of areas are "just for animals". Furries not included. *sigh*
