Here we have my Kuman the Barbarian character (there are a couple of stories of him on my web site), with a monster looming out of the darkness behind him.

I went straight from to basic skecth to using the coloured pencils with this one, and the obvious light source in the picture made colouring it convincingly a bit of a challenge, but I think it turned out rather well.
