Since he's getting drawn so often, I decided I wanted a fullbody "official" reference for Hazel, so I commissioned a lineart so I could give him a few different colored outfits.
I really like the way he looks in his shirt and suspenders. That look just suits him so well.
Hazel Alvey
Age: 25
Personality: Serious, quiet, reserved, shy
Species: Bunny
Bio: Hazel was raised in the suburbs where he was often taunted and discriminated against for being "less than human". As a result of this early treatment, he took to hiding his tail under his clothes and became very quiet and introverted. He moved to the "Big City" to try and escape the prejudices of small minded people. He struggled to make ends meet for a couple of years until he spotted an ad for an office manager position at a private consultation firm. This lead to his meeting Amaranth and Maru and the beginning of a much happier phase of his life.
His responsibilities around the office are primarily the mundane but necessary tasks that keep the office running: filing, paying the bills, speaking with clients and so on. It's not glamorous, but without him the office would be a disaster area. He's also a skilled martial artist, having taken lessons so he could defend himself at first, but staying with it because he found it very pleasant and fun.
Due to his rough upbringing, Hazel has a soft spot for strays and rescues any small, helpless creature he comes across. His friends were pleased to see him softening and opening his heart more, especially after he and Amaranth became a couple.
His love for Amaranth is very strong and made Hazel open his heart more than he ever had before. Before Ama, Hazel had never before had a lover or relationship, so his devotion to his first and only love is strong.
