My Shepard. who was killed by harbinger right before reaching the conduit, his team managed to avenge his death by activating the crucible which in turn deactivated all reapers in the galaxy (using the mass relays the same way a ship would to bounce the signal all over). ending the war.
may he rest in peace.
EDIT: looks like Garrus and I won't be having those drinks together after all. :C
