Back in the day, AMT of Mt. Clemens, Michigan produced these huge hand-launched gliders based on the Convair B-58 Hustler, but only for a brief time. I covered one with aluminum tape, made landing gear for it, and added a pod for a model rocket motor. This baby really took off. The landings were pretty good too.
