I often wonder if the subtle changes in GlLaDOS's personality were entirely the product of no longer having the mainframe's directives screaming at her, or also brought on by the sheer panic of knowing that the moron was going to kill them all.
It really raises questions as to how much of Caroline was really at work in her psyche.
I also often wonder if she herself would deny such claims, fervently and violently.
But then I take comfort in the fact that if she was literally not capable of pulling enough wattage together to plot-- or even lie, then she clearly hadn't spent time enough in introspection to really consider her own self awareness.
