The ref for females and children of my newest race.
Though considered more reasonable and docile than males, females are by no means friendly creatures, except to the children of their Cove and their males (mostly). In the rare occasions when Carchar'octodonts find themselves having to trade and deal with outsiders, especially land-dwellers, the females are usually the ones in charge of negotiations, having a more logical mind than males, but just enough savagery to be taken very seriously.
Family ties exist among their kind, but it is the bond between child and mother which really has true strength. A child may know who its father is and may even be social with him, perhaps even bonding, but the mother is the only one to truly provide for her young, protecting it, teaching it to hunt and scavenge, and making sure it gets a share when the hunting parties return to the Cove.
