Because fags need armor too. And love. But mostly armor, because armor makes them more badass.

A bit of background info: This [the guy who's all inked in, not the random pencil sketch behind him] is Joshua Prophet, more commonly known as Screwball. He's an Automatic Rifleman and he's also Adrian Macintyre's boifrand (those of you who pay attention to my less recent work may remember him as the dragon in the gasmask who did that thing with the speech and who hates his parents). He wears lipstick when he's not wearing armor, so it could be said that he's got a wide range of options available to him when he goes out. He's also a tomcat and it's been rumored he's "only slightly" rabid (it's also been rumored he once tried to kill the English Prime Minister, but he's never even left his home state of Illinois prior to joining the AU). He is a 1st Generation post-human conversion and stubbornly devoted to the self-adopted cause and creed of his newfound family. Easy-going among friends and sloppy when off-duty, but serious and unforgiving when at work or under pressure. A very socially (and intimately) dominant person, and the perfect counterpart to Adrian's brooding and intelligent yet submissive personality.

The armor is standard AU enhanced-movement infantry battle armor that while mostly unpowered and lightweight above the waist has a heavy-duty movement boosting leg armor system that allows him to move very quickly and carry a larger load than the average soldier (it's the battle-ready, semi-mass produced version of the old HULC system DARPA developed in the early 2000's). The special load-bearing nature of his armor is what allows him to carry a very high volume of firepower, detailed below.

He carries a custom-built 5.56 fire-support weapon that uses parts from the HK 416 and SCAR-H, and has a free-floating barrel hidden inside the large shroud. A bipod rests under the shroud, and a visible/infrared laser is mounted inside, under the barrel. The butt is a telescoping crane stock with an adjustable cheek rest, and Screwball carries seven high-capacity (80-round to be exact) magazines with him, not including another in the gun. His sidearm is a Glock 18c with four 32-round magazines as well as an 18-round mag already in the gun. If the mission calls for it, he can also bring along a Kel-Tec shotgun that holds shells in two underbarrel magazines (it's very odd-looking for a shotgun), as well as about 30 shells stored on various places around his suit. Despite his small size, he is a frightening sight when fully armed and armored.
