The picture kinda bleeds out the black, but it does show the detail. Blame the photographer not the camera. It'll take me a bit to figure it out... if I ever do.

So far this is my favorite attempt. A stylized raven. In person he's a darker, but with enough feather sheen and detail so he's not lost in shadow. And yes, he as the spikey throat feathers of a raven. Go corvids!

As far as the painting part goes, this one is finished. He just needs to be sealed and set in a wire frame. Eventually, when I get it set up he'll go up for sale.
