Fursuit head features:
- detachable fur cover (completely washable)
- detachable nose
- movable ears and eyelids (controlled with Bowden cables - purely mechanical)
- moving lower jaw
- posable tongue
- radial fan in the muzzle
- LED backlights for the eyes
There are some minor details, that I have to address before I wear this head. The LEDs are too bright - they shine thru the eyelids. I have to add some sew-on snaps to the neck. The fur cover is now sewed together, the open edges of the fur have to be reinforced - to make them more durable.
You can see how I made the head in my livejournal:

They are brake cables for motorcycles. They are a bit overkill for the task. I have purchased them at http://www.pollin.de/ - they were really cheap. A Bowden cable for a bike circuit would be enough.
