As far as I can figure and from ones I have seen in the past these are WW2 military medals given out. They came in 2 sets. First set was 5000 yen the second was 4000.

2nd box: russo-jappanese war medal (1904-1905 rather common)
3rd box: order of the rising sun 7th class (this one is from late WW2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_.....the_Rising_Sun )
4th box: sacred treasure 8th class (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Sacred_Treasure#8th_class not even a war medal T_T )
2 ribbons on teh side are order of the rising sun 8th class
