This one I don’t have much to talk about... which is probably a good thing seeing as the last two pictures had a wall of text attached to them!

Bugs are highly underappreciated in the fandom and the mainstream community in general. Originally I was leaning towards having a giant burrowing cockroach as a sona but people who don’t know anything about these creatures (As in they are completely clean, eat leaves and don’t live in the sewer) would have steered clear of me. So then I went with the next best thing, a praying mantis.

Now as you can see this guy would have made a pretty cool sona but again I thought that he would be too alternative for most furs and also that the majority of people would find bug porn gross... however this isn’t the case. I’ve shown quite a few people this bad boy and half of them actually said that he was attractive. o_O I’m glad to see that people are more open minded than I first thought.

So the awesome  Inert-Ren drew this for me and I absolutely love it! He did quite a few alterations and went out of his way to give the mantis’ exoskeleton extra detail. Also before anyone wonders I asked for mandibles and a non-typical mantis mouth to make him look slightly different. Anyway, please go tell Inert how sweet his original drawing is.

Do I regret not using this idea/species? I still say that a burrowing roach would have been cool but neither of these guys really represent myself so no, not really.
