This is something I've never really understood in games. the main characters are SOOO benevolent, and good, and they care about everyone and saving the world... but when it comes to monsters, they're all "KILL THEM ALL" this picture ilustrates that :3
this poor Pinkuhwolf (a species made by myself, of - by nature - extremely hospitable, friendly, and overly generous wolf-creatures, with distinctly pink fur) has been basically beaten to within an inch of his life, and then had all of his gold, and the gold pouch, and wristlet his mother gave him stolen.
what do you think? am I alone on this?

Typically the monsters are actually supposed to be attacking you X3 That's why you fight them, because you like that whole 'not being dead' thing.
I kill them because I'm mad at them for wasting my time when the stupid game forces me to go back to an area I already beat T_T. But, I like games that give you an alternat option, like Dragon Quest 8's "Intimidate". I also remember one time in Breath of Fire 3, there's an enemy called a Drak, it doesnt attack, and is in fact paralyzed by the desert heat of the area you find it in XD If you use a paralysis curing item or spell on it, it casts a spell on you that heals max hp and raises the dead, which you can actually learn by having someone else us Examine on it as it is unparalyzed <3 So sometimes programmers make being nice pay off

he really didn't have the chance to do that >.> he was going into town to buy some new pants with his hard earned gold (the townsfolk generally don't mind if monsters come into town... as long as it doens't start rampaging x3) and was ambushed from behind by the 'brave' adventurers
And that is not much of a story, so let me expand...
The brave and true band of heros set out from there ravaged homeland, bent on vengance for the wrongs done to it by the Villany of the Evil Dark Overlord...
They battled his minions who had disguised themselves as agents of good, they siezed his strongholds, they battled the fiends that protected his main base...
And discoverd that, several months back, he had in fact changed his ways. he had sent several Aid groups to there lands, to help with the reconstruction after the natural disaster, but they all seemed to dissapear, might have something to do with the vicios gang that sacked all his comunity outreach centers...
Would they have any ideas?
