This was a photo I had taken of a pair of these fish spawning and used in an on-line PSP tutorial lesson. The frame I added 9/21/11.

The brightly colored and larger fish is the male. The smaller one female. These are known as 'mouth brooders'. See the small egg shaped spots on the bottom fin of the male? These look like the eggs of the female. The female is trying to pick up the 'eggs' on his fin and as she does so the male releases his sperm which goes into her mouth to fertilize the real eggs she has already picked up.
