It was a bright day indeed, for many this was their turning point of their careers. It was also a day that the fabled rivalry between two teams would be decided. It was the WFIFA finals, the stage was set for one of the hardest events in history! Japan versus USA! Indeed this was a moment to remember. In this moment both teams entered the court, the stadium was filled with fans of both sides. The woman in the field were staring at the magnificent landscape that made their breaths as shallow as the grass beneath them, they didn't want to dissapoint their fans.
The announcer just signaled the anthems were about to start. Each team took their side and paid tribute to their country's national anthems before the whistle signaling the start of the match ended the peaceful moment and started what it would look like a heated battle of warriors.
Frenzied but precise strikes to the ball has earned the rising sun's team the advantage early on as Beatrix played a pass that her japanese friend took advantage and scored in the first half of the game. It was a good strike but the match was far from over! The American team was no slouch and they didn't want to give up either, instead they pressed on, not letting a single hit get a score even at the cost of a foul or two.
Second half was as violent as ever, neither pulling punches in their attacks and showing why either team deserved the coveted trophy. The audience noise getting louder, the american fans booing when they lost control of the ball to the Japanese team, but, a swift move made the american team score a point.
Now tied and almost at the end of the half, Japan launched even more furious plays, in hopes that they would never arrive to penalties. It was their demise in the past and they wanted that win badly. Luck wasn't on their side this time as time was over and the decisive blows would be exchanged in Penalty.
Japan's coach was very nervous as both teams scored two penalty shots, but USA missed the third. Japan launched their trump card! Beatrix was sent next, if she scored, the cup was theirs for the taking.
The coach asked her to not overdo it, but with the win resting on her shoulders, she was going to give her all. The stadium fell into a dead silence, each player exchanging gazes, as if looks would decide the outcome of this shot. The dragoness suddenly lifted her leg and arched her kick to do her famous strike. The coach already knowing the stance, closed his eyes in fear as this strike has sent others goalies to the hospital. The leg went down swiftly and with an impressive weight into it. She kicked the ball and the ball swerved abruptly into a curve! It gave the goalie time to attempt to stop it, only to see the ball speed like a comet. He gulped and knew this was the end, the ball hits him on the face before entering the goal and ending the silence.
She ran and went and hugged her friends, knowing that this was their victory and the time to earn the cup.....

It's been a while since I watched Shaolin Soccer, but this seems an awful lot like that! :P
I wonder, though.. could this be a good example of your writing work, if I was looking for one? And if this isn't one, can you link me to one, since I said I'd look at a good indicator of your writing skill.

It is, but this just a short description by your standards. I hope you like it...If you want a longer read, this was my contest entry i did for blyzzarde a year or two back. Despite not knowing much about styles of writing, i did my best with the limited resources that i had.
here it is...http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2658246/

I'll check out that contest entry for Blyzzarde later, too.
You began your comment with the words "It is", but did that mean that IT IS like Shaolin Soccer's final scenes.. or IT IS a good example of your work.
Also, now that I know about your native language, I would think you should try actually writing in that language, if you want to really be serious about it. You can't express yourself fully unless you really know the nuances of a tongue, and you grew up with Spanish, right? You can get a translator down the line if you're able to do well in your own language.

Not good, I will become too long-winded in my native tongue. Also translation in the net, unless is made by a pro, tends to get really sloppy. Spanish has a lot of grammar rules, more than English itself and this gives more difficulty in non-Spanish speakers that are not fluent enough.
