Everyone, Meet Sam. He is a Quantock Pony and the new Mascot for SouthFur Camp, as its on to its 5th year and I though we needed something exciting ^^

He's our Mascot because I was looking for a West Country animal that I could use on our Logo. Furistival has a fox tent as theirs. Badger was suggested loads, but CF has a badger and you can find them anywhere, also you cant do many exciting poses with badgers x.x Black Panther was very nearly it, being the Beast of Bodmin and various other sightings in the area, but you would'nt think Somerset with that.
Roo wa sthe first to suggest Pony. Over here we have wild Bodmin, Dartmoor, Exmoor and Quantock Ponies. If the camp was ever moved out of Somerset, there would still be Ponies in the County.
The Quantocks are the Hills that surrouns one side of Taunton, which is where the Campsite is, so making Sam a Quantock Pony, just makes perfect sense.
Expect to see him around more for Camping related things!
