The sketch book design version of a plate I was going to do in print making. Stuff came up, and I wasn't able to finish it.
I chopped off the "neck" and lower jaw bit. The skull itself was done in a mix of soft ground and dry point. It never got to the point of background, which you can see I was indecisive on which style to us.
