all the stats everyone made at the beginning of the season are used to calculate 4 different things for every player. An offense rating, a defense rating, shooting rating, and for goalies a goaltending rating.
Each players offense rating / the other teams average defense rating determines how many shots each player gets per period
Each players shooting rating / the other teams goalie's rating determines the % chance they'll score on any given shot
and it becomes more detailed after that with like injuries, fighting, assists, etc, each of those stat categories making a player more likely to do certain things, but that's the gist of it in a nutshell

Only thing not in it is the "game winning goal" thing, being that its kinda new. And all that is really is seeing who got the GWG and who set it up, looking at those players descriptions and putting something down based on how a player of that build might score most of those goals
"...and that's not a good sight for Bandicoot fans as Turunen is being helped down the tunnel and back into the locker room. Let's hope it's not too serious..."
I sure as hell hope it's not! Good to pick up a big W, especially getting the help with Hamilton losing. But my concern is with big number 23...I'm hearing it's not bad but I wanna make sure of it!

*the big bruin smashes his stick into his locker and snarls* FUCK! We can NOT keep getting outworked! We've got the talent, but we gotta skate, hit, and do all the little things every shift for a full 60 minutes!
I saw we hold a Midnight practice full of "Herbies" to bash that work ethic back into our skulls!
