I posted a journal earlier today with the idea of having a sale for character creation, where a potential commissioner would give me a few words and I'd be allowed to go nuts.

These actually aren't the best examples, but ones my girlfriend gave for me to try my hand at stuff.

The premise is to give me species (up to potentially 5 different species) of whatever, give me up to five 'words', and one or two colors.

Species can obviously range into non Earth species, aliens, monsters, Pokemon, I don't care.

Words are more descriptive, specifically surrounding personality words. "Happy" isn't a good descriptor unless you mean for your character to smiling wildly or being a space cadet for the reason that there are SO MANY OTHER words to describe 'happy' more acutely. Such as "content", "pleased", "jovial" or "goofy", all of which give me a better tune to work off of with the character.

I'm probably only going to be asking for one or two colors as well for the reason that when creating a character things might look a lot better with different color combinations, specifically ones that compliment or contrast vague color descriptions. Such as the character on the left having yellow as a highlight because it is complimentary VS lets say Green which would make it look pretty bad...

Characters may or may not have shading, and may or may not be clothed as to preference, preference being in the words you give me. If you're giving me an occupation (YOU DONT HAVE TO) I'm more likely to draw them with the most appropriate apparel for that job. There are open ended words that will obviously allow me a greater range of possibilities. IE: Military, Healer, Magician, Warrior ... anything to which there is no set standard or implies a specific time period.

Otherwise I was thinking that refs of these characters would go for 20$ (a front image with a Color Palette which can be upgraded if you wish).
