I’ve been meaning to make pony scarves since August of last year and just kept dragging my feet about it, probably because of the cutie marks.

I had a lot of fun making the first in the series, Fluttershy! Her colors are so warm and inviting and generally happy. I had some perfect baby yarn in my supply that worked wonderfully.

It measures a little over 5ft with 7inch tassels.

The hardest part was the cutie mark. I didn’t want to use fleece or iron on applique since it would stick out and not really fit my style.

Each of the butterflies were crocheted and then hand appliqued onto the scarf. Overall, I’m really pleased with the outcome.

I’ll be debuting this and the other pony scarves at Tekkoshocon in about a month.
