So I figured it was time I have an official character reference sheet for my pony character Starfall Bolt. Done by the very cool  squidface-mcgee

Also re-posting his background story to go along with his reference sheet since that seems to make sense to have here here attached to his guide.

He was raised in the Pegasus district of Saddleston by a Unicorn mother (Starry Mist) and a Pegasus father (Thunderous Bolt). Not being able to fly in the cloud levels of the district was countered by a magic diamond that allowed him cloud walking (he would later go to inset this into his scabbard bindings).

Being an odd one out in the primarily Pegasus district, he was picked on a lot by the younger Pegasus colts and fillies, which only filled his heart with a need to fight back and protect what friends he had. While defending a group of younger colts from some bullies his cutie mark appeared, a kite shield with a lightning bolt turning into a star. Now he knew what he wanted to do with his life, defend and protect other ponies from evil... and there was only one place to do that, Canterlot and become one of Princess Celestia's Royal Guards.

Before leaving his father gave him a sword and harness that was once his Grandfather's. The sword has it's own magical properties, it can not hold an edge making it essentially a non-lethal implement, because it can only be used to smack evil the sword is magically indestructible.

It took a long time for Starfall Bolt to prove his worth and enter the bottom ranks of the Royal Guards. Often being shoved a side by the more winged and magically inclined higher ranking guard (if you notice in the show so far only Pegasus and Unicorns are noted as Royal Guard).

After a daring rescue mission to save a very powerful unicorn from a dragon Starfall Bolt had finally proven to the rest of the guard that through determination and skill an Earth Pony can still be just as effective as a Unicorn or Pegasus. As a reward Princess Celestia infused his sword with a spell that granted him magical Pegasus wings and flight... though there was a catch, it was limited flight. She did not want the younger Earth Pony to forget what got him to this point in his life and start relying only on his new found flying abilities. Through willpower the sword will grant the barer temporary flight, but when that flight is deactivated the ability will be on "cooldown" for a time equal to the amount that was used (i.e. use the power for 10 minutes then he won't be able to use it for 10 minutes prior to turning it off).

During this mission he realized that he had lost his way a bit. No longer fighting to protect others but fighting to prove himself when he really didn't need to. Originally he humbly declined the magical enchantment, stating that he learned something on his rescue and would be leaving the guard to get back to protecting the ponies who couldn't protect themselves. Instead Princess Celestia continued with her gift and granted Starfall a new mission, to act as a roaming guard and an on the ground representative of the Royal Guard, specifically in the area of the Everfree Forest where there has been a rash of incidents that needed investigation. Starfall Bolt accepted his new task happily and was set to travel to Ponyville...
