A traveler learning about a new world was present when one of that world's species, the Sira, found a nest of colorful eggs. The Sira were exited about the find - which they called Shaas - for some reason, and the traveler decided to sneak a few of the eggs into his bags to sell. He boarded a ship for his next destination...

Most of the eggs hatched while in the luggage compartment, and caused quite a commotion (while still managing to lay the next generation)...but three of them remained eggs. These few were claimed with those of the next generation when the ship was found, and bonded accordingly.

Note: The remaining original eggs were identified by their coloration differences - the originals had taken their colorations from their surroundings on their home planet (flowers, etc.), while the new generation sported color combinations taken from their positions on board the ship.

Chizoba is one of the three remaining 'original' generation Shaas. The name Chizoba means "God protect us." Its selection was inspired by what happened with the rest of Chi's generation...and what can happen if you upset the Shaas' bondmates.

Note: Shaas are neither male nor female. They are asexual, which means each is capable of egg-laying without mating with another Shaas. Sexual reproduction is possible, but very rare.
