yes these are our sheep... we have about 150..

That's a lot of sheep ! A lot of wool! I hate to shave them!

we used to have 200 but sold a bunch... actuall come to think of it probably have less than 150 now.. we sold quite a few older one, anda few younger ones in the fall here... needed the money.. plus we were short on feet for the winter and wouldnt have had enough to feed that many through the winter....
Some sheep you dont need to shear.. some breeds are what you call hair sheep and dont really have wool... and they shed.. or if they a wool hair cross they shed too.. the four with the wighter face in this picture. they like that.. you can see they shedding there... ones like the one with the black face that standing, she a Suffolk and those you have to shear... we used to shear them our selves... but last coupl years we havnt been.. it alot of work.. next time we might end up hiring a shearer to come in and do it... mind you we dont sell the wool... the not really a market for it... we sel the sheep for either breeding purposes or meat.. lol...
