I HATE PACKING!!!!

Yeah, for those of you wondering about why I’ve not been around as of late, here’s your answer. I’m moving this weekend, and it has turned out to be a greater ordeal then I had anticipated. And it didn’t help that I am a terrible procrastinator!

Right now, my entire house is looks like a tornado came through! Boxes, trash and random stuff everywhere! Yesterday, it was like five times worse then this picture shows. I have SOOOOOOO much stuff! but I think I’m nearly done. I just have to pack a few more things in my bedroom, then pack my kitchen (all the dishes, cleaning supplies and stuff), and then I need to pack everything in the garage, which shouldn’t bee too much trouble, seeing that most of that is already in boxes. But everything needs to be packed by Friday, because that is the day I get the moving truck.

Unfortunately, I seem to have hit a bit of a snag with the storage. The soonest available storage unit of the size I need will not be available until the 29th at the soonest. I only will have the truck until the 26th at the latest, and I’m not sure if there is room at my mom’s house to store my stuff until the storage unit is available. So I may need to hunt around for an available storage unit in a different location. I was hoping that I would have been able to store my belongings at the same place I will be storing my RV, but I may not be able to, which is a bit of a bummer.

Then, after I get all of that figured out, and get all of my things out of the house, I still need to come back and clean the house. Luckily I have until the 29th to get that done, giving me at least three days to do it. And all I need to do with cleaning is clean my bathroom, the kitchen, the light fixtures, the blinds and the windows. I don’t have to worry about the walls or the carpets, because the rental company needs to paint the walls and replace the carpet.

Then I also need to find a place I can empty and flush my RV’s septic tank, and do that before I take it to the place to store it, and take my El Camino to the mechanic to get it fixed to pass smog, so I can drive it again, and because it has been sitting so long, it’ll probably need a tune-up and all the fluids changed. I also found that one of the El Camino’s tires is rotting, so that needs to be replaced. And I only have a one-day road pass for each my RV and El Camino. I also have until the 29th to do this.

Then after all of that is done, I need to unpack whatever it is I will be taking with me, and get settled in, which may be more difficult then it seems. I plan on keeping most of my things packed away just in case things don’t work out an I need to move again. I SO don’t want to go through al this again!

Anyway, I figured I’d just let you guys know what was going on. I’ll hopefully be back online sometime next week!
