"It needs more colors where the highlights are...With all the white there it looks like powdered sugar." my art teacher informed me. I had been halfway expecting some kind of negative reaction to my creation, but she simply wanted to help make it even MORE colorful. So, taking her advise, I made all of the white parts more yellow...Except for the coconut, of course...I decided the coconut should look kind of abstract.
As my painting got done, I received complements from my classmates, most of which were amazed at my use of color. I was just as amazed at them considering I hated this project with a burning passion and was actually in the mindset of not giving a crap if I ruined it or not. In the end, around the time my project looked like some kind of advertisement for Crayola, I began to enjoy it and looked forward to hanging it on my wall.
