Icon commission from
clemikou
A picture which has nothing to do with whiskey, and everything to do with home. There are old dry stone walls all over the part of Kentucky where I live, and I've always had something of a soft spot for them. They've always been a big part of what defines home for me.
I'm not normally the patriotic sort, but this is where I was born and this is where I live, whether anyone likes it or not.

Aww *Cuddles and purrs* You're so sweet to me, hon, and I'm glad you like it. Clemikou always does such a fantastic job with everything I ask her to do, and yes, the way she draws eyes is simply incredible. They really do draw your attention, too, don't they?
I really like the purple collar, yes. I'd originally planned for her collar to be black, but I think I like this better. I think it looks really cute on her, too.
As for the comments about home, I'm sure everybody has someplace they consider home. For good or ill, the place where you live, and especially the place where you grew up, always leaves its stamp on you. As for me, well I can't say I always feel like I fit in here. It's an awfully conservative part of the country, even if I do live in one of the most liberal parts of the state, and I'm sure I don't have to say what kinds of problems that presents. But it's still mine, no matter what some people might think of me.

There really is. For all that Kentucky tends to be looked down on by a lot of people, and for all that it does have plenty of problems, I can't help but love it all the same. As for the picture, it's beautiful. Clemikou has been one of my favorite artists since at least as long as I've been on FA, and after all the wonderful pictures she's done of Niamh I was really happy to have the chance to commission her to draw Megan. Besides, she was one of the artists who helped to define what Niamh looks like, so I thought it was only fitting to see what she'd do with the new "me".
Thanks for commenting, and I'm really glad you like it!

I've noticed that collar more and more often in your commissions as I go! it really does look adorable, and gives a nice splash of bright color too, when coupled with Megan's eyes. I do have to wonder of the story behind it, though. I don't remember it being so prevalent in older commissions as it is now. Though, older commissions for me is quite a while ago!
I do apologize for all the comments I've been strewing here and there, but I did take a rather long break and haven't been keeping up with FA at all for the better part of seven months, so all of these commissions are new to me!
It's been wonderful what I've seen, though. You always have such good tastes in who you commission. I even turned my filters off for a moment to peek at any work that might have fallen under artistic nudity before I blushed and turned it back on embarrassed.

Thanks! I've grown rather fond of her collar, too, and I'm glad you like it. I'm afraid there really isn't much of a story to it, though. I gave her the collar because I thought it looked cute, and because I wanted a little something to help distinguish Megan from Niamh, especially when it came to sketches or black and white work. People don't always draw Megan's muzzle markings when they just sketch her, so I thought the collar would help. She's supposed to wear it all the time now, but people still forget it sometimes.
No need to apologize for all the comments! I really do like hearing from you, and I'm glad to see you back, too! I had wondered what you were up to, and I hope that everything has been okay. I'm really glad you've liked what you've seen in my gallery, and I'm really flattered, too! I've always tried to buy interesting commissions, or at least cute ones, and I've been pretty lucky with most of it along the way. Aw, and thanks for taking a peek at the mature stuff, too. I know that stuff isn't really to your taste, so I'm flattered you were interested enough to at least take a brief peek.
