Just to demonstrate the differences between then and now. Here's all that I did:
-Removed the old teeth, replacing them with a higher detailed set and plush tongue.
-Resculpted lip and added a little more nose detail to top of nose.
-Removed and replaced the eyes with a pair of brighter hand painted set.
-Removed and redetailed the ears, trimming them, reshaped them, and repositioned them.
-Repaired any damages (reglued jaw hinges, glued down loose fur edges).
-Removed tattered whiskers and trimmed the face and neck a little more.
-Reairbrushed the face and hood.
-Removed the hood and replaced the facial padding inside, adding a little extra padding for comfort.
-Swapped out the eye mesh for a much more preferred material making field of vision larger and brighter.
All in all I'm very happy with the revamp as he needed a bit of love. he will be posted upon Furbuy shortly.

I'm with you on this, I think the only thing the original needed was better replacement teeth and a new set of ears. The dark airbrushing looks more like a red wolf. But it's cool either way. I can't say I haven't revamped a head and liked the original better and subsequently kicked myself in the face for hours. Or remade something and liked it and had other people tell me the original was leagues better.
Either way keep on rockin it don't matter. The only critique I will give is I think you shouldn't have shaved the neck, the wispy integration of colours that differ more than in just a shade or two look much better in longpile for gradiant..ing..y..ness.. something. Anyways, I hope he sells super well and good luck!

i hope if anything i make warrants critique for my personal improvement you'll unzip that damn mouth
's the only way for us to improve as professionals, and who doesn't want to make a better product?
after-the-fact crtiques are frustrating because we can't do shit about it NOW but it's better to have them so they're at the forefrotn of our minds the next time around.

I would have been happy to have kept him the old way, previous owner tried to do some alterings and to blend the repairs I had to do the airbrushing sadly. Same deal with the throat and eyes, originally the throat stopped sharply and struck fluff, had always bothered me. the eyes were a sad loss as during removal they got damaged (had been loose and the backing torn) and without a printer I couldn't duplicate. :(
I may rework the throat if no one buys it as I have just enough red adn white to redo that section :) By all means, critiques help me know what people want to see and for me to know what to improve upon :)

I hate it when that happens. Having to give up your favourite parts of a suit to suit a customer is heartbreaking. It's all good, you should've taken a photo of him as he came and compared it to your revamp! C'est la vie! Good luck selling him :3 I'm certain he'll go quickly.
