Gryphon (watercolor practice)

A wingless gryphon, done in watercolor and colored pencil (5x7”, probably one hour-ish). I’m glad I ended up buying a few purple Lyra Polycolor pencils… it’s one of my favorite colors to shade with.
For FWA I'm gonna be putting up some originals in the Art Show (not sure if I will for AC), but I haven't used traditional in a little while so figured a refresher was in order. :B Probably not a bad idea to make sure I can still do it.

Shading with purple looks realy cool *-* I don't think I could ever make it to shade with different coloured OTL

Very beautiful! Love the colors, the image really pops! I'd say you can still do it! ;)
I'm trying to get back into traditional media myself as it's been several years and have been looking at doing something in watercolor. Looking at this makes me really excited to try it out :D
