So I was reading some Scott Pilgrim and I thought about how awesome, yet simple the art style that O'Malley uses is. It has a lot of character but is still at its heart about drawing out a story through the use of tone and character. It's funny and enjoyable. That's the kind of comic I would love to write.
So I'm thinking about rebooting LB to a different direction. A simple girl working in a video store and going to college gets "discovered" by a rich, sometimes bitchy, overtly sexual, flirtation boss. Girl finds boy, but boy is in bad relationship with girl's direct competition. Girl has tough time doing the school thing at the same time as she moonlights as a model. She gets involved with a less-than savory crowd at the Stray Kats because he roommate is a dancer there.
I'm missing an ultimate goal in there somewhere. I guess it would be getting the boy, but I think that would too fairytale and short. Maybe girl is looking for a direction. She wants to finish her degree (in what?). Maybe the modeling pays well and she starts to change and the boy reminds her about her roots. She quits modeling and goes to the strip club and works as a waitress to pay off school bills. What if the money isn't good enough? Would she turn to be a stripper?
I feel like some of the stuff that happened in the old comic was way off base and didn't fit the characters. I dunno man. I probably won't do anything of the sort...mostly because this background took FOR EVAR!!! Even as simple as it was, it took forever because doing 1 point perspective is trash in PS. If I were going to do it, I would work sketches on paper with rulers and shite to make it easier to do backgrounds. When the characters aren't that complicated or heavily shaded you don't have to do much with the background. Speaking of which, I went back and looked at the old comic and I was thoroughly embarrassed, but if I saw this picture when I was starting Lily Blue I would have been crazy jealous. So I guess that's saying something.

well it'd be intresting to see a reboot as I miss it. Still going to be asult or just clean but very flirty? I always remember the first comic with these two XD hehe.
as for plot I guess try and devlop the character before you start writing. Create fine line and flexable choices for characters. A deep plot might not be what you want to srat with.... Maybe try to determine a goal for the first 'chapter' then move on from there. :D
anywho I'm out of time to post but awesome to see you bring these two back!
