I'm thinking of making a new team Dorurumaru, Thor and Rocky but haven't tested them online last match I had god awful lag I still won the match anyway.

I pride myself on my Rocket because he takes work. Unlike Wesker, Vergil, Dante (Team Trenchcoat), Hulk, and Sentinel, my teams require actual skill and strategy to win.

Sentinel is a piece of piss to beat he is way to easy for me you just have to avoid his standard long combo to L.Rocket Punch to hyper sentinel force with or withour x factor.

Right now I just came off my 360 just finished playing full arcade games of the new release of the simpsons fighting arcade game (like double dragon) Just got the hardest achievement where you have to beat half of the game on japannese survival mode where you have one life and no continues and I did this all alone near flawless lol sorry to boast my achievement whoreness I'm just a sucker for fighting games. :P

Dante does take skill honestly I suck with dante half of the time online, vergil is pretty cheap because of his backward teleport I just jump back wards and FWOP FWOP FOOT DIVE that suckah or in rocket raccoon's case use his grenade.

I love the variety of combos you can do with that cute deadly raccoon you can cancel most of his moves to rocket skates to change your offense or defensive game. Say like if someone blocks my attacks I can rocket skate backwards and use projectile spaming while trying to catch them off gaurd by useing log/boulder/claymore/Bear traps with teleports to.

I have a couple of gaurdians of the galaxy comics, anihilators and the thick rocket raccoon bookhas about 5 huge comics inside about over 200 pages.

for a comic started off in the 70's I freaking love it so much.

I'd lose because the 360 version is hard to without the d-pad where the left stick is at XD

This happens to me in street fighter series I pref the D-pad on the gamepad though I'm very good with the arcade stick and analog but in the PS2 or PS3 versions of street fighter, guilty gear etc etc its much easier for me to chain combos with the dpad.

On the xbox 360 well I'm still good with the analog controls but half of the time I fail to dodge or jump in the right direction because the analog sends me the opposite direction in some brawlers.

To be honest I like the arcade stick better, I only had one for the Wii but sold it with my own copy of Tatsunoko vs capcom.

RR is still a beast I stopped playing online on the PS3 to to little bitches picking cheap ass char's I.E wolverine an his gay Drill Claw that they fucking spam over an over again, an more then half the little bitches I fought online used wolverine.

I wouldn't mind a few. But I seriously have yup on the game. It isn't fun online in ranked matches.

Actually I wanted to remind both of you incase you didn't know I don't own a PS3 anymore thats all :P

I only play this game either in player matches or localy because I get tired of seeing the same n00bs but I hardly see wolverine players I think I saw about 10.

If UMVC3 was gonna use gameplay style controls like in tatsunoko vs capcom they should at least let us use "mega crash" the move uses up two HC gauges but it at least prevents you from getting combo'd to death and you can only use this very rarely which can make some fights harder but at least you can stop someone from playing your ass like the bongos online.

Most players I find are ghost rider players but after I found out Rocky's Wild Ripper move is effective against his chain moves you can beat him as long as you don't mess up your combo loops, or OTGs.

Speaking of OTG's I sometimes struggle to pull off a L Spitfire OTG while in the air animation but on the ground if this makes any sense to you.... kind of like Cammy's ground cannon strike trick.

One thing I hate so much about this game (btw I still love UMVC3 dispite its flaws) is Jill Vallentine is crap, and her moves have been ripped off by frank west (I love frank but he shouldn't be stealing special moves)

Jill had a huge arsenal of items and weapons in MVC2 but in UMVC3 she just has hand to hand bat shit combat and weak useless hypers like her machine guns.

Jill was the main reason why I like capcom in the first place but dispite this shit I still enjoy this game.

As for the Spitfire tric, it is called TK'ing (Tiger Knee'ing)

The real issue is the fucking X-Factor. That throws skill out the fucking window when you are down to your last character.

But for the tiger knee motion you have to press jump right? I've tried it before and it doesn't work though TK is very similar to DP (dragon punch)

Oh wait I found out how to do it you have to do quarter circle forward followed up with forward jump? I don't know why the MVC3 fans call this tiger knee motion they must be high this is just hadouken but with a jump added.

wolverien ryu and dead pool is a broken combo ^^

That dive and drill claw always gets me.

When I fight ryu I think I'm playing Super Street Fighter 4 or Third strike I keep forgeting his Huricane Kick is very powerful in UMVC3.

Deadpool is fast with his guns but he is easy to get to.... with viewtiful joe and rocky raccoon that is.

lol that move is beast I think you can do instant death combos if you tag with vergil and dorumaru (plus others).

Dante takes skill to do stylish shit like I did. But overall, his fucking normals have too wide of hitboxes and have to much priority and you know it. Standing Light should not be an anti air and an anti cross up

I have no idea why but I suck at chaining those dante combos I know the inputs just the timeing is what I need to work on.

For the record, that was HOURS of work learning the strings.

I figured because it took me hours to get good with one character.

I don't know how buddy but I have paitence to spend hours in mission mode and training mode.
The first character I mastered was Rocky raccoon since I spend more time mastering him.

One of the best characters I love training with right now is is Dorumaru, Akuma, Spencer, Modok, Joe and Task master

Task master's rip off skills are hilarious to use, his voice and his skull face is kinda funny XD.

I took me a while to realise Akuma's Dive Kick is a very good OTG move to There was one player on xbox live went so rape on me with akuma honestly for once I was suprised alot of his combos were near death or death and his move input was amazeing. he was very good with getting me guessing where he was gonna attack me especialy he had strong assists with him to.

Akuma is SOOOOOOOO lame though. He is so easy.

Actually I found out he is pretty good, that hurricane kick is very strong.

Because it stops everything. Easily the most spammable physical attack in the game.

not as spamable as lil macs infinite combo on kermit the frog.

I freaking love STARLORD ever since I started becoming a fan of rocket raccoon I've become very addicted to guardians of the galaxy group.

The guardians of the galaxy are nothing without RR, Starlord and the tree pokemon "GROOT" lol tehehehe.

street fighter and guilty gear are still the best fighting games. Street fighter is basic as you get, in UMVC3 its more of a over the top broken crazy brawler.

Its proberly best you don't because no matter how good you are you will always get beaten by someone who has easier move set aka someone who can pull of special moves or combos on easy button mode.

I don't bother playing UMVC3 online the rank match battles are becoming more obescure to find, most players have high wins and use the more popular characters it can get a bit tedious and boring quick, button input lag can be jarring to get used to.

Bottom line if your ever interested in playing this game play it localy on vs mode.

How do you use the coon to beat Akuma? His the only prick I cannot kill.

umm all I can say is don't let akuma or ryu use their hurricane kick on you even if you block it there is alot of block stun when you block that move so use advanceing guard alot,

Try useing log trap or bear trap more often to get in on them for combos.

if you have a 360 I'll play with you but keep in mind doing combos with Rocket Raccoon is hard because of his attacks but he has great reach and speed.

However for Ryu it's the Super blue beam that gets me when I least expect it but his not that much of a problem once
I bring Wesker in, my problem is Akuma's ceiling fan kick with the electricity that Blocks EVERYTHING you throw at him!
All of Coon's traps do not work, even Chris Magnum that supposedly goes thro everything doesn't penetrate that purple electricity.

Akuma will fan kick me into the edge and there's nothing I can do about it then he somehow smacks me open THEN fan kicks me again
and uppercuts me into the air with AGAIN another fan kick THEN purple beam of death D:

The only thing I find effective is tunnel rat behind him when he does that but that's just buying time.

try useing rock and roll or Air S
or boulder trap but if you get hit during the trap is set it dissapears.

Didn't think he attacked the other Defenders of the Galaxy.

Perhaps he went too overboard with his actions.
