Its been a while since I have uploaded a recording of my former concert band. Here is another piece I liked. I believe this was actually my first semester of my undergrad. I was a bit more of a timid player. I played cymbals and triangle here.
I have to say, I am a big fan of old British music. I can't put my finger on what it is I like, but I adore listening to these redone old British songs.
Program Note:
"Sea Songs" is a medley, in march form, of three jaunty melodies with nautical themes. The first and second strains present "Princess Royal" and "Admiral Benbow," with a dynamically subdued return of "Princess Royal" closing the section. The lyrical "Portsmouth" serves as the march's trio section, which is repeated. A da capo repeat rounds out this short but satifying piece.
