to paint someting well you need to understand the basic anatomy :D I quickly drew those today getting horses back into my mind as I again want to be able to draw them from memory like I can canines+felines :)

Some anatomy crit:
The top/middle sketch is super ewe-necked, a major conformation flaw. Horse neck conformation info, complete with pictures: http://www.localriding.com/horse-ne.....formation.html
The top right sketch is holding it's forelegs oddly, tucked under and not straight at all, btw.
Bottom head detail sketch has a super-tiny muzzle, too.
