no it doesnt! the lighting is different! :V

i like that look a lot, i think it looks better than minecraft to be honest^^ it still has that pixel/voxel charme but still a pretty natural ambience, thats really cool!
too bad that this isnt my kind of game X3
but anyway, keep up the nice work!

I'm not actually sure, just by looking, what's different between the two lighting systems.

The last version only had shadows below sharp overhangs, and single value shadows only. Now shadowed areas have a softened edge, depending on how deep the overhang is, and the whole terrain has a sort of ambient occlusion effect applied to it.

Cool idea, read the about section on the site you linked. As for the similarity to Minecraft, your lighting and textures are better.

That's honestly one hell of an improvement! It looks exactly like what it was intended for- to differentiate between the games. Almost looks like the foundations for Minerim (Skycraft?) now. ;p

Just be carful on the contrast you don't want it like some Battlefield 3 Levels where it's black and over brightened colours like Caspian Boarder or whenever.

I noticed more than anyone else I know that you have been posting pictures of minecraft with hopes to adverties your server.

Because of this I am warning you about it. It doesn't seem fair or is well addressed in the AUP but as Fay V says about content if it contains the code, its minecraft.

I am warning hundreds of this situation, and taking all the time to do so. Because heaven knows that the admins actions would be harsher and silent.

This ain't a server. It's a separate game that contains no content from minecraft in any kind. Yes, it has the same name as some minecraft server, but I didn't know of the server at the time I started making it, and it was really only meant to be a working title. I will have to change it soon.

100 % of all content is generated by me, including the code. I'm not even using the same programming language as minecraft.

But good to know actually. You are the second person to actrually fabricate the worlds to look like minecraft with out being minecraft and that is awesome.

What code are you useing though? XD Im suddenly interested about this new game.
