When I was last in Washington DC I saw a group of tourists at a wildflower park with lenses that seemed pretty extreme. Watching them take photos it appeared they got the lenses because they were huge. One woman (With a gigantic white Canon telephoto) seemed to have quite an obsession with the number '8', it was stitched or applied to nearly everything I saw her wearing or using.
