Its a very cool picture and very nice for the time of the year. Nice to hear ya met a decent girl. ^w^ Always good to hear the good things in life. Interesting background it caught my eye. I was trying to figure out if they were floating oriental lamps at first. A snow fox in its warm climate fur I take it?
Those'd be lanterns yes, based on a scene in the movie Tangled! :3
As for her form, it's some sort of snow fox, yeah. I'm not really sure if she'll have winter or summer markings. Maybe I'll make her lighter during the winter and a bit darker during the summer :D I'll be drawing her again soon, hopefully so people can get a better look at the character. If my girl won't kill me out of embarassment, that is :D

>w< I know how that can go. Im pretty sure she loves the admiration. >w> I knew I saw laterns. 0w0 Sorry bad fascination with some foreign decorations. As for all that jazz on her markings that's up to you love birds. Also nice to hear that she wasn't exactly shocked to be drawn as a fox and such. >w> Let
Anyhow love the piece. Wish I could have done such for my mate but she is the artist around here.

I made it myself. While there's obviously a ton of copypasting going on there, there's about 5 layers of lanterns, for different distances and effects. Each layer has several lanterns that I copypasted in all sorts of places and spots, turning them and moving them... I basically handplaced every single lantern in this thing. There's the ones up close, then layers going back further and further, each one blurred when I was done placing everything. Each layer was blurred in different intensities, with the lanterns that are far away blurred more... Kinda gives it the idea of depth ^^;
Hope my explanation makes any sense... Basically just made a few base lanterns, handplaced every last lantern, in different layers, which represent the distances... Then blurring them from view to add depth... I think there's at least 300 lanterns in this ^^;
