If I had to pinpoint exactly where it started being full of fail, I'd say the Mall Arc, around the point where Miles goes all wise sage for Sarah, who then goes out of character to basically say "My sister's a cock-hungry whore deep down--be creepily persistent enough and she'll break and be all yours!" :/
