Its a clever name, i swear!
Quill looks like shes got her eyes on someone, but who?
Must be someone extremely important to her, as shes got a tail bow on...
BUT WHO BETA? WHO IS IT? I know, but i'm not telling you!

Yeah I've noticed. To be honest, the only difference she'd have from her original self if she were rewritten is that she'd be more submissive towards whichever corrupted azurite, imprinting upon her new mistress like an orphaned stray cat because it was the first thing she saw after waking up as a new borne node.
I apologise if there were any sexist connotations there. I was just speculating because I had cats on the mind and I thought it would be cute if quill meowed and purred like a cat and came up with the stray kitten metaphor. I'm a big cat person.

Depending on how much detail you want, I could tell you what would happen theoretically if an Azuri could become corrupted. Thers lots of different ways it could unfold. But you're essentially right, Quill would become controllable by an corrupted Czarites which would be a very scary thing.
And no sexist connotations there pal, don't worry! Quill would be very cute if she acted like that, thats for sure. Kali tends to act like that, mostly to Quill and Kaj.

Alright - BRACE YOURSELF
So i'm not sure how much you know about the corruption itself and what it physically does to you, but think of it like a crystalline virus, in the event of a successful corruption (So you become a Node rather than a Slave), the corruption replaces your bone matter FULLY with a crystalline alternative which is usually denser and stronger, but heavier as a result. It has lots of effects across the body in general but thats one of the biggest ones, the new skeleton sort of links you into the semi-hivemind that the Rewritten have. With that in mind:
Azuri's are built completely different to any other species, their body is made from "Unobtainium" which is a anomalous material, these materials cannot be made or produced by any conventional means and don't follow the laws of physics, the main thing about Unobtainium is that it continuously grows in strength with no upper limit, which is what gives the Azuri's their absolutely crazy scaling and strength/toughness. If an Azuri were to be corrupted, there would be two possibilities, either the crystalline structure would replace their existing skeletal structure, or it wouldn't - this would be the biggest change in them in reality.
In the event that the Azuri had their structure replaced, it would actually significantly weaken them, although they would still be leagues ahead of anyone else, compared to their past selves and other Azuri's, they would almost certainly be weaker. Because of their large size, it wouldn't cause them to grow any larger an Azuri's integration into the Rewritten in such a way would have a remarkable impact on their strength as a whole.
But if their bone structure remained Unobtanium, then the corruptive effect would be lessened and would essentially manifest as mostly external changes, like growing a penis, likely increasing breast size, further increased sex drive and personality changes (All these changes would happen in the above example too). Depending on how well integrated the corruption was, it might not impact their combat strength at all, one of the Azuri's best assets is their muscle woven breasts which are able to be compressed and shrunk at will to stop them bouncing about and turn them into armour, if the corruption increased the general size of their breasts without changing this attribute for example, that would be an increase in strength. If an Azuri did change this way though, they wouldn't integrate into the Rewritten properly and wouldn't be controllable by any Corrupted Czarites - thats entirely reliant on the crystalline bone structure to work. So it wouldn't have the same impact on their semi-hivemind. The Corrupted Azuri would function more like a lone wolf operative than a part of the Rewrittens network.
On the canon side however, the Azuri's are essentially "Above" the corruption, their Unobtainium bodies are basically the most advanced thing in the entire Heavy Weapons universe and their internal defences would cull the corruption, beyond that, they're not even really biological, the corruption wouldn't interact with them at all even if their internal defences didn't shut it down. On the back of this though, I have had a really dirty idea... something that could be canon... might write up something soon.
