Yeah, I was really nervous doing this...so excuse any off-key stuff. I wanted to try getting up the courage to do a full song, but I wanted to see if I was okay by you guys first. Soooo, here's a sample of me attempting 'Jar of Hearts'. Critism would be appreciated.

I think you did very well! I sing and have been for a while (I was aiming for my Musical Educaation Degree) and I still feel iffy about putting my own voice online! So kudos!
I also understand about singing when nervous. Does it kind of become difficult to identify your pitch because you can hear your heart pounding in your ear? I hate it when that happens XD

I can't say I know the song, but I like your voice, too. I think it sounds pretty good overall. Everybody else has said it already, so it's just beating the drum to also suggest relaxing a little and having some confidence in your singing. But I can relate, I feel really nervous and kind of awkward when I sing for people, too. Once you do it enough it comes more easily and you feel less afraid, so keep at it.
