Great to see this new series Markie, and must say it is some of your best work ever! This will really deserve to be published as a book, and you should consider one of the self publishing firms that cater to large format, illustrated books. It really isn't very expensive. You could use a "Print on Demand" company so there is no need to buy copies for resale. The are printed as they are paide for.
Because of the Mayan them, (which is great, by the way, and very appropriate now that it is 2012 and the prophesized returned of Kukulcan the feathered serpent god), I think you could have epanded on the theme more and make the "white guy in armor" seem more like a 'European Conquistador' that came from far away in a sailing ship with more 'white guys'. Perhaps they attack the darked skinned natives while looking for gold, and then the dragonesses discover them and all are eaten but this one, who is captured. This would also explain why everyone else is dark skinned. Or, have more of his group survive, and he sees them being crushed or eaten until he is the last one. In any case, this would be more popular to a larger audience with a little more story development, and background for your 'lead' human character that your readers will 'identify' with.
I believe you now have a perfect size ratio of human vs. dragoness too. In some of the earlier work the humans were so small they seemed more like insects.
I also hope we see some explanation in this series why there are no male dragons. It is fine in an "Amazonesque" society that the females take a dominant role, but in order for there to be more dragonesses born, there should be a few males in the background for reproduction purposes. Perhaps they are physically much smaller than the females to explain why the dragonesses are the dominant ones in the culture. They, , like the humans could possibly be slaves, but necessary for breeding. Some paleontologiets believed female dinosaurs were larger than male ones.
In any case, thanks for coming back after a long hiatus with an epic 80 page story! Looking forward to every new addition!
