All I have to do is align, and glue in the eyes.. And that is really about it.. Well, a tad more airbrushing.
Every now and again I have a suit that has no delays, no hang ups, no errors, no second guessing, no burns, and no me sewing through my hand..
this was one of those suits. I have no idea why some suits just "click", but before I knew it i was finishing up the airbrushing this morning and thought to myself "wow, this is like done".
If you have ever made suits before, I don't have to tell you how rare it is to just keep going without some catastrophe impeding progress.

Looks awesome!!
just curious, what do you use for the whites of the eyes?
and good god, it is hard to keep going without messing up.
yesterday i went to tear out the eyes of my suit so i could replace them with better ones, and i decided to shave some of the fur a little more and ended up shaving a part of it too small. talk about how mad i was at myself, i already had the fur all glued down and the head was basically done.
luckily it's not too noticeable. but those secret flaws can get to me. x_x;

OH GAWD I SO RELATE TO YOUR ARTIST COMMENT
Some suits leave me sitting there going "hello, where did you come from, did I even make you?!" and I wish all of them where like that...
Oh oh I simply MUST ask... it is just me or does it seam as if it's always the most stressed-out repeating how every-spot-needs-to be-PERFECT type customer is the one who's suit fights you every gert dang step of the way >_0

You know, I never really have many pedant customers. I get people on the phone, and chat about the character long before I take a commission. I tend to stress that I don't care about spots or color nearly as much as shape, and overall look. It tends to weed out customers that are looking for something that another maker would be better suited to make.
I use the Mickey Mouse analogy. If you have a coloring book, and you color Mickey Mouse hot pink, he still looks like Mickey Mouse. Lets get your shape down first, then we can talk colors and patterns.
What messes me up the most is like, airbrush overspray that leads to massive cleanup, and then repainting, and then, and then, and then, and then... you get the idea. That or that tiny bit of hot glue that poked out, and mashed itself into the fur backing somehow... redo an entire face pattern, spill glue again....

Oh gosh yes. Pardon me for slipping in but I do agree with the if it's always the most stressed-out repeating how every-spot-needs-to be-PERFECT type customer is the one who's suit fights you every gert dang step of the way >_0 part. I don't know if it's just karma or your subconcious just not wanting to work with the person due to what they're putting you through. Or perhaps it's like that trip to the dentist to get a tooth removed. You don't wanna do it, you gotta do it, and you can't wait till its over so you hope and pray it goes quickly. So, like Murphey's Law, everything that can go wrong, does.
This suit is so fantastic. It's so adorable I just wanna cuddle with him! I love your style. I'd also love to commission you one day. Provided I ever have the money. Do you have a general quote for a 2 maybe 3 tone puppy partial in the same style as this cutie? Or could you tell me where to look to find out?
Oh gosh this *points to artists comment* I absolutely adore when this happens, usually one of the coolest heads you make, then the next one fights you with every ounce of its being making you wanna scream haha. But when they click is usually when I zone out and let my hands do the work and when I snap back I'm a little startled to see how everything just fell into place. It's a wonderous moment <3. Looks absolutely terrific! Almost puppylike. Cute!
uuuugh I hate the sewing through the hand problems. I still have a scar through the middle of the pointer fingers from a scissor incident about a year or so ago. XP It's so AWESOME when things go right!
Btw this looks FAB. That white looks so soft and round. is it the kind of "bowl" method with buckram in the middle?
Adorable though. Very Very adorable.
