It's a sad case of the pot calling kettle black though, since Nine is not the epitome of human goodness either, regardless of his virtues :P

This is very true, there is a lot more to the spectrum than the bright and caring colors of being human, there is the darker spectrum of emotions and thoughts. Yin and yang as it were.

LONG! We've written... a lot. And not all of what we've written can possibly fit. The story was written over the course of three or four years, to give you a hint at just how long we've been working with these characters. I'm hopeful that I'll finish drawing it in my lifetime lol.

Wow, there's no way that I'd be able to dedicate myself to that.
And now, knowing that there's going to be so much to it has me wondering xD

Wow, it's so cool we can see the progress of the story as it happens. It'd be interesting to read the written story as well.

The written half is in roleplay format (ie I write Nine, Ski writes Dice, and we back and forth) so reading it is kind of weird. At some point we'll probably make it available for reading but it won't make a whole lot of sense because we also TOTALLY reworked it for the comic. Lots and lots of editing. Would be fun to have a concise written version too though.

I feel kinda proud of myself because I so called this. I was curious about some kind of posibility of healing due to Nine's power. Even under the suppresion in the case of physical contact could there be some kind of even minor physical relief/healing of Pai's extreme physical atrophy? Even in the case that there is not just the warm physical contact with another being would be a major confort.

Unfortunately, Nine is no healer. He's only capable of destroying the human body, not mending it. He later tells Dice that it's nigh impossible for a Body elemental to learn both - once you've learned one trying to learn the other is like trying to reverse muscle memory. If he managed it, he would no longer be able to use it for destructive purposes. It's one or the other :P

I see. Oh well. While healing could be good destruction would be more pratical, and very possibly more fun. With the healing though could there be the possibility of becoming so powerfull you are effectively imortal? That your healing is so potent that any damage is healed almost instantly and ageing after full growth is achieved is reversed to become non-existant? Basically the newly raped cannon of wolverine.

Nine's brother Nikola is sort of what you described, only he isn't immortal, he will still eventually die despite his body's ability to regenerate more quickly than a normal person's. Eventually age will get the better of him and his regenerative capacity will be lesser than his present spring-chicken state though. He cannot heal others, he is only capable of healing his own wounds (involuntarily I might add) and it takes him an ungodly amount of liquor to achieve inebriation because his body metabolizes it too quickly. :D

Price of power I guess. Thank you for the explanation. It was most informative. I greatly look forward to more of the comic and possibly seeing what other elemental powers exist. Even from this little bit I can tell though "fuck them nazi phoenixes!"

Nine is a contrary bastard. You'll find this story doesn't have many characters of singularly good or evil natures. There are no black and whites, hence the title ;)
