How does adoption pics work? I have heard of concept before, but never really considered it, so I'm not sure how they exactly work.

I understand. ^^ As for adoption, it's quite simple. Basically, an artist draws a character and puts them up for adoption either for free or for cheap. When that character is adopted the person who got it now has full rights to the character and can use them however they want.
