I dont hate people who dislike My little pony, your welcome not to like it. But... honestly... be respectful of people who do.

Your views are respected. I didn't want to like it simply because I was a boy in the 80's and 'My Little Pony' was for girls (blockhead mentality I know), but having a niece now I was stuck for a birthday gift idea, and thought 'My Little Pony' was popular for girls then why not now, so I went episode hunting (thank you youtube) and ended up enjoying it so much that I bought her all the main characters for her 4th birthday and ordered some of the dvd's from the USA for her. suffice to say, I'm amused by pony antics and I like the art style (it really did grow on me after 2 episodes) and my niece now has a collection she loves.
All I've seen of MLP are a few clips here and there, since our cable doesn't carry the network its on. But I'm sure it's a fun little show. I remember the original MLP show waaay back in the early 80's, and have fond memories of it. Never bought the toys because all my cash went to buying art supplies for school.
Not much of a fan of MLP or Sonic for that matter (Among the billions of other fandoms out there) but yeah I see this all the time.. So much drama over a cartoon.. I say Like it? Comment. Don't like it. Move the F*CK along!
All I can say is be thankful I'm not a fan.. cause if I was ever to start watching it and become a fan it would get cancelled.. I'm a jinx for TV shows.. >.<

not really thres no reason to, calling attention to it only creates more drama, People can silently unwatch someone and the artist be none the wiser, i think its far more hurtful to say "im unwatching you because what you ant to draw in your free time no longer entertains me" Entitlement much? Just because its in your list of submissions doesnt mean you have to click on it, nor does it mean you have to start drama by telling an artist your unwatching them because they are making pony related things.
By telling the artist your leaving thier page because of that draws attention, and attention of that kind starts drama.
your logic is heavily flawed, no one is forcing you to click links and see ponies. If you dont like it don't click on it. The people who are mocking you post and pre meme dont exactly sound like friends they sound like adolecent kids being stupid and I really would just ignore it becausee you can't fix other people you can only controll yourself. so in sayingthat perhaps try not to be such a drama monger about EVERYTHING. Im fine for a bit of debate now and then but you come to every argument poorly informed and jaded by past experiences.

I've had people unwatch me just because I wouldn't draw their character for free cause they asked for it. I, myself, couldn't care less if I lose a watcher just because I draw something that gets their panties in a bunch.
As you've said. There's no law saying you have to view EVERYTHING an artust draws.
I'm so very tempted to suddenly draw a f*ckton of mlp stuff just to test my watchers. lol
I need professional help. XP

The biggest kicker in situations like this for me?
These people rage on and on about MLP and all that, flaming it, bashing it, wanting it banned and blah blah blah... how do these morons think alot of people think about furry? As part of one of the most mocked and jabbed at cultures and fan bases in the world, do these idiots really have the right to do the same shit to someone else?
Don't like something? don't Look. Don't Be An Ass!
Personally MLP isn't my thing but I dont go about slamming it, I actually quite liked Discord' episodes.
(fyi, the use of a sonic fan in this strip made me lul since they seem to be the main haters o.O people often sexually obsessing over a group of pre/mid teen cartoon characters from a game... they don't seem to figure this out)

It depends. I can only speak for myself, but in some cases some of the drama is justified. ...sometimes.
I knew of the show pre-meme, because I'm into animation. Was mocked for it. Post meme, I was mocked by the same people for not liking it enough, and for being a bandwagon jumper.
Having people defend the show way beyond it's deserved credit. If you like it, that's great, but when any conversation about animation is hyjacked, or people seriously put forward that the animation is better than anything Bluth or Ghibli ever put out, it's easy to see why tempers flare.
And of course, "Don't look. Don't be an ass." doesn't work because, as already mentioned, they force it into everything. Personally, I'd love to not look, but that's not an option. I try to not be an arse, but it's impossible when something as tame as "I think it's ok, but nothing special" causes people to rage.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have a growing interest in animation (teaching myself digital animation via Lightwave), and was wondering if you know of places where I could learn more. I'm hoping to eventually have my own little studio, and I'd love to know how to do more than just computer animation.
