New pony OC. Green and gold colouration as a subtle reference to Australia, where the boomerang originates.
Nimbus always wanted to be a weather pony. Unfortunately, she didn't have wings and her magic wasn't strong enough to give her any. Stuck on the ground watching the pegasi do their work, she searched for a hobby to distract her from her envy. Over time, she found out her skill with boomerangs and began to practice retrieving distant objects.
One day, Nimbus had an idea. She took her boomerang, and threw it high into the sky. With her she bought back a large rain cloud, showering Ponyville. Overjoyed, Nimbus went to show her new talent off to each and every pegasus. Maybe, just maybe, they'd let her onto the team.
Unfortunately, she was looked down upon, as the weather ponies were highly respected for their job and to be outsmarted by a spinning piece of wood - it was an insult to their race.
And yet, Boomerang Nimbus continues to aim for the sky. Wearing her handy tool around her neck, she occasionally pulls pranks on the flying ponies that tease her, snatching the clouds from unsuspecting pegasi as they sleep. This has often resulted in a number of Derpy's "unexplained" crashes onto the unsuspecting buildings below.
