Well in risk of sounding generic, I wanted something subtle and more in line of supporting a scene than standing on it's own. Glad you like the overall sound and the flutes ^^

And I was going for a toned down while having a thick wall of sound, more of supporting music the music I make most the time that stands out really strong. I find Western composers are really good with ambience and supportive music while Japanese composers use very strong melodic music that is in your face and pronounces the scene immediately, imo anyway.

That's pretty true, actually, as far as East vs. West. Not always true, but almost always! I'm incapable of doing the more western-composer-y sound, though xD I can't seem to pull that off. You do a great job with it, though!

Nice piece, and I don't think it sounds generic at all. I like your use of percussion, coming in and out, rather than blatant hits on the instruments. I liked this piece.

Why thank you so much for noticing some of the little variations I had in the piece!
I love orchestral percussion cause you can be very creative with it besides just keeping the beat and most of them like the glockenspiel and xylophone can even help with melody or chords! I very happy and pleased you enjoyed it, especially from a fellow musican ^_^
