It is my mission to save animals, and while doing so, make extremely realistic pictures so that we can enjoy them while we can. Rather than ranting about my feelings to save animals like in previous situations, I come to educate the public about our much needed and loved animals.
The story behind this picture:
Coyote's and Foxes are very cruelly hunted in many of the same ways, educating the public about this has both an educational value and benefits to the animals by raising awareness.
WARNING, GRAPHIC WRITING.
Foxes and Coyotes:
Foxes are often breed in 'fur farms' where they are kept in small cages a lot like puppy mills. The people feed them a lot with bland food, there is no happiness in these places. Once it is winter, and the foxes have had their coats grown to the fullest, the people kill them. They Use electrical wires and either slide it down their throat or up the abdomen while the fox is still awake, and then shock it to death. It is a cruel and sad death, and often the foxes aren't even dead yet when the people start to skin them. If the fox is still alive, it watches helplessly through it's stunned eyes, as his body is cut open. He eventually dies of blood loss.
There is also 'caged hunting' which is used for both coyotes, foxes, and many other animals. The animal is put into a small yard, where it has nowhere to run, no where to hide, and no where to escape. The hunter than releases his hunting dogs who corner the animal and attack it. This hunter is training his dogs to brutally kill their wild relatives, what a shame. The animal is then torn apart by the pack of hunting dogs.
Caged hunting is un-beneficial to both the hunter an the species. The hunter will not even get a 'pretty penny' for the kill or the fur, the dogs have torn it to much to even be useful for taxidermy. This technique is then used in the wild with un-caged animals and while the dogs are attacking the animal, the hunter grabs it by the leg or other body part and either 'holds it still' for his dogs or tries to whack it to death. It is a cruel process that leads to a painful and sad death, and it is used, sadly, on many other animals too.
Why We Need Foxes:
Foxes are a beautiful part of this eco-system and play a vital role. The foxes hunt small rodents, and keeping small rodents under control means that there are more grains for other wild animals, and foxes often help us on farms too. They eat most of the mice, allowing the farmer to have a more successful season of wheat, and other grains.
Why We Need Coyotes:
Coyotes work almost the same way wolves do. They hunt the deer and keep them under control. By eating only the sick, injured, or elder, they are, in return to the deer, keeping the herds healthy. By eating the deer and other ungulates, they are also allowing the trees and grasses to grow back and allow the ungulate-eat-plant process to continue without there being a shortage of food for the ungulate.
Coyotes misunderstood:
Coyotes are very miss-understood creatures. Although there have been multiple attacks on humans by coyotes, the coyote was either sick, injured, or an "Urban Coyote". Though many people think that there are a ton of urban coyotes that cause a danger to us, in truth about only 5% of the entire Coyote population is an urban danger. Just because only 5% of their entire population might cause a threat, does not mean we need to sentence them all to die.
