Lol, old? You are likely 20 something. I am 40 something. Pokemon was not my cup of tea at the time. Now the Batman/Superman hour on the "WB," that was way cool. Real stories, real drama and well written stuff. Not that Pokemon was not good. My boys and I just did not go in for "fantasy" type stuff. Only the "real" things, like super aliens and the Joker who was addressed as "Mr. J" by his minions got watched by us. Lol, those were the days. Lol, guess it is a male thing, though Pokemon has it male followers too and it was/is very popular. There is just no accounting for taste I suppose.

i think pokemon more appealed to males. at least the video games. more male gamers than female.
but i loved watching the super friends and the justice league on tv. :)

And I really liked the first Batman dramatic cartoon. It was something the boys and I could all watch. So well written, it legitimized dramatic cartoons forevermore. It was a true favor for the field.

And of course Pinky and the Brain was truly awesome.
