Here's a bit of fruity fun dandy candy for the sweet tooth in most of us from the kitchens of
zze
this was the first time i have made these and can't wait to make more.
Fruit-flavored chews (gummies)
1 3-ounce package any flavor or color gelatin
2 tablespoons Unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup water
candy mold
in a small saucepan, stir all ingredients. Heat over a medium heat until sugar dissolves. (gentle stirring helped to keep the candy from sticking to pot) Lightly spray mold ( i used a vegetable oil spray then wiped the mold to lessen the bubbles from the spray) Pour mixture into molds. ( you have some play time to but have to be careful as the candy cools it does start to set up and makes pouring a bit hard) Place in freezer for approximately five minutes. When firm, gently pull molded gelatin from mold. ( this was the real fun part, even with the spray they do not just drop out of the mold, you do have to kinda roll the candy just under you finger to pull it up out of the mold)
here are 2 variations
Sour variation
fallow above. Stir in 1 teaspoon critic acid just before filling the molds
Spicy variation
Follow above using cherry gelatin. After the sugar dissolves, add 8 drops cinnamon oil and 8 drops chili spice flavor. (liquid)
